About the Role
In this leadership position, you will oversee key People & Culture functions to foster a positive, high performing workplace. You'll work strategically to align our people-focused initiatives with business objectives, supporting operational growth, employee development, and workplace engagement while providing guidance to managers and employees at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement robust recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
Oversee and manage the onboarding and induction process to ensure new employees are supported and engaged from day one.
Maintain compliance with Industrial Relations legislation and proactively communicate updates to managers and employees.
Facilitate effective employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management.
Lead the ongoing review and enhancement of P&C policies and procedures to reflect best practices.
Collaborate with managers to identify talent development opportunities and ensure employees have clear career pathways.
Manage the annual employee appraisal process and ensure meaningful feedback is delivered.
Oversee workplace injuries and coordinate Workers Compensation requirements as needed.
Support managers by providing expert advice on P&C-related issues to foster a cohesive, supportive team environment.
Drive initiatives that support employee retention, engagement, and wellbeing.
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience in a People & Culture leadership or managerial role.
A strategic mindset with the ability to align HR initiatives to broader business objectives.
Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently advise and guide managers and employees.
A proactive and solutions-focused attitude, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Deep understanding of employment legislation and compliance requirements.
Experience managing multiple HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a senior P&C or HR leadership role.
Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, desired
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems (e.g., Elmo).
Experience working with multiple awards and managing compliance audits is highly desirable.
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
