Job Description

Join Gosling Group as a Site Supervisor for our ASP Level 1 Overhead team!

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a leader and team player to join our ASP Level 1 Overhead team! 

As a Site Supervisor of our Level 1 ASP construction department, you will work with our overhead team across multiple projects to support the project managers and meet the expectations of our clients and stakeholders. 

You will lead the team, and perform skilled reactive maintenance, system alterations, upgrades and new works on the Essential Energy network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate project requirements to the project team and other stakeholders 
  • Co-ordinate and oversee onsite project works, including Gosling project team and sub-contractors
  • Guide and instruct team to undertake all required safety processes and documentation, role model safety responsibilities and ensure the health and safety of all workers 
  • Lead daily toolbox meetings
  • Ensure all site requirements are adhered to
  • Coordinate workflow in a manner to meet project deadlines
  • Use, interpret and apply complex or advanced drawings and diagrams
  • Daily reporting on progress of works to the Project Manager and advise of any variations in time or scope
  • Comply with all laws and regulations associated with the electrical industry
  • Safely undertake works associated with the construction, commissioning, operating and maintenance of overhead distribution systems in accordance with your training and scope of authorisation

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certificate III in Electrical Supply Industry (ESI) – Power Systems – Distribution Overhead
  • Demonstrated experience working as an overhead linesman
  • Heavy Vehicle Licence (HR, HC or MC - unrestricted)
  • Construction Industry Induction (White Card)
  • Experience working in tight-access areas in and around essential services
  • A good understanding of final trim 
  • Full Australian working rights without any restrictions
