Your Role as an CAD Building Services
This dual-role position combines drafting for two separate teams – Building Services and Level 3 ASP Design. You'll play a key part in preparing accurate, high-quality electrical designs for both internal building systems and external utility network connections in compliance with Essential Energy requirements. In this role you will work closely with engineers and other drafters across multidisciplinary projects, providing support to our design team.
What You’ll Do:
• Prepare detailed electrical layouts using AutoCAD
• Draft schematics, single line diagrams, lighting layouts, power layouts, and communications systems
• Draft site-specific plans for subdivision reticulation including underground pit and conduit systems
• Draft works plans for augmentation to the overhead electricity network
• Produce Essential Energy compliant designs including route plans, schematics, and construction schedules
• Collaborate with project teams to meet design and documentation standards
• Coordinate drawings with mechanical, architectural, hydraulic, fire and structural disciplines
• Participate in quality reviews and revisions throughout the design process
• Manage updates and amendments following review feedback
What You Need:
• Proven drafting experience in an engineering environment, preferably in the Building Services or Level 3 ASP disciplines
• Proficiency in AutoCAD. Revit and BIM experience will be highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment
